DIY Donut Garland with Paint Chips

DIY Donut Garland Tutorial

This week I decided to brighten up my room and what’s more colourful than a donut garland! These are ridiculously easy to make and cost absolutely nothing.

Oh, and I recommend making these during the day when you can run out and buy some donuts because that’s exactly what these made me do!

Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

Paint Chips (In a donut-y colour and whatever icing colour you please)

Decorations (I used flat back diamantes but you can use real sprinkles, sequins, beads, confetti, or cut out sprinkles from paint chips. Be creative!)

Twine

Scissors

Glue Stick

Tape

17. To create the scrolls, cut out 11 strips of paper measuring 1.2cm x 6cm and write down 11 reasons why you love your SO (Or you can write them in a word document, print them and cut them like I did).

18. To attach each strip to your arrow, all you need to do is roll the paper strip around the wooden skewer and slip on the jumpring to keep it in place!

Super easy, right?

DIY Valentine’s Love Note Candy Bags

Valentines Day Love Note Candy Bag Tutorial

I can’t believe it’s already February and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! This is going to be my blog’s first Valentine’s Day and I am so excited!

This week’s tutorial is so cute that I can’t help giggling every time I look at it. I had heaps of fun making it and I hope you do too!

You can leave these lying around the house for your SO to find (who doesn’t love stumbling across love notes – with candy!) or you can put them all in a jar and give it to them all at once.

Oh, and did I mention that it’s ridiculously easy?

Let’s get started!

Materials:

Clear Cellophane Bags (I used 3”x4” bags)

Candy

Gold Glitter Adhesive Ribbon

Double Sided Tape

3. Pour candy into your bag.

4. Apply the glitter adhesive ribbon onto your bag. I only peeled and stuck the two ends (about 0.5cm in) and left the middle part un-sticky. This prevents the bag from scrunching up.

5. Seal your candy bag.

6. Apply double sided tape to the back of your candy tag.
